Senior Fellow

Edmund Cape is an analytics leader and technologist with more than two decades of experience spanning advanced analytics, commercial strategy, and cloud-native data engineering across the pharmaceutical and medical-device industries. He is known for combining “the judgment of a management consultant with the ability to design and build the platforms that deliver analytics.”

Throughout his career, Edmund has held senior analytics and strategy roles at organizations including McKinsey & Company, Boston Scientific, Axtria, and Leerink Swann, where his work guided more than a billion dollars in R&D and commercial investment. At Boston Scientific, his analysis provided the fact base behind a $472 million acquisition that became the primary growth engine for the company’s Endoscopy franchise. As Director of Advanced Analytics at Axtria, he built and led onshore and offshore analytics teams supporting major pharmaceutical clients, driving a threefold increase in service-line revenue and risk-based pricing that increased contract values four- to fivefold.

Most recently, as a Senior Rust Software Engineer at Balanced Media Technology and previously as Founder of Lucivia LLC, a cloud-native analytics platform for pharmaceutical commercial decision-support, Edmund has built LLM-powered query-routing agents, high-throughput data pipelines, and multi-tenant analytics platforms in Rust, Python, and Haskell. His expertise spans predictive analytics, forecasting and market modeling, and the modern data stack, grounded in a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill, a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, and an MBA from Yale. He brings a rare blend of analytical rigor, engineering depth, and commercial judgment to every engagement.
